Beauty School fun

So it's been a month I have been in school. So far so much fun. My main focus right now is the up coming competition. The theme is winter wonder land. I am so excited for this competition. I have chosen my theme, which is Sugar Plum fairy. The Nutcracker has always been one of my favorite things about Christmas. One of the things we have to do is mock boards. Which I have done and I am so excited. Next it will be time to shop for makeup and things to pull the look together.The competition takes place in December.

The other things are Makeup Fridays which are so much fun. Each week getting to play with makeup. Watch youtube videos and look at pictures to find inspiration. We did a makeup competition based on ed hardy tattoos. I had so much fun. And I placed 2nd. All and all I am so happy I made the decision to go back to beauty school. Its never too late to follow your dreams. I enjoy waking up every morning and going to school. I am lucky I have a good group of girls I am in class with.

I look forward to each day I get to learn more about what I love. I feel so lucky. take care til next time.

Beauty school journey

The two weeks of  school has been fun and very educational so far. I am learning a lot and being reminded why I want to be a makeup artist/esthetician . Learning the fundamentals of what being a esthetician is. A lot of studying and reading. So much more than just putting on makeup or giving a client a facial or waxing. But if fuels my passion even more. Each day I can't wait till June comes and I am licensed and can start my career.

I feel very lucky to go to a school with amazing instructors that care about their students. People who make sure their students are educated and ready to go out and make their dreams come true. Also that I had the experience of being a Beauty Advisor for so many years it helps my knowledge and talent to become what I dream of. Also to my amazing teacher and my very good friend Joanna who took the time to teach me and show me that I had a talent hidden inside me. Being able also to work for an amazing company like Clinique, where I got a lot of knowledge in skin and product knowledge.

There is a drive in me that helps me work towards my goals and dreams. Being a makeup artist is my passion. I find a calm and feel centered when I am doing makeup.

My journey of Beauty school

My new journey is about to begin. After many many years I am finally going to finish what I started. I am going back to beauty school. I have taking all the steps necessary to begin this. And to show myself  and everyone that it's never to late to follow your dreams. Never to late to accomplish what makes you happy.
At 32 yrs old I have focused much of the last 8 years on my children and getting myself and my life in a good place to finish what I started when I was 20. Now I have stability to able  to do so, to be able to focus on school and to make my dream career happen. A career of being a makeup artist and esthetician. To do what makes me happy and what I am truly passionate about.
Also to have a good job and career to build a future. To make sure I am able to take care of my family. To be able to give my children opportunities that I never had. Like the chance to go to college if that's what they chose to do. And to be to take fun family vacations or romantic vacations with my love. Also to be able to travel to the places I have always dreamed of going to.
In doing this, going to beauty school. I will feel good about myself and know that I never gave up on my dream. That how good it will feel to wake up every morning and knowing I am going to a job I love. I will continue blogs of my journey through beauty school. And steps I take in making my career happen.
